Les Bleus travel to Croatia to face Croatia in the first leg of the Nations League quarter-final, Thursday, March 20 at 8:45 p.m.

Having won the Nations League in the 2020-2021 edition, Didier Deschamps and his men are looking to prove that they are once again among the big favorites in the competition. In the quarter-finals, France takes on Croatia at Stadion Poljud.

Les Bleus had gotten off to a poor start to the campaign, with a heavy defeat against Italy (1-3). But they quickly recovered: 13 points taken in the next five matches, with two wins against Belgium (2-0, 2-1), a victory in Israel (4-1), a home draw against Israel (0-0), and a prestigious victory in Italy (3-1). As a result, France finished top of their group and secured their place in the quarter-finals.

Before the return leg scheduled for Sunday, Deschamps’ men will be looking to take a serious chance in the first leg. To do so, they will be counting on the excellent form of their attacking duo Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, who have been particularly decisive this season.

Croatia, on the other hand, had an inconsistent group stage, but ended up finishing second with two wins, two draws, and two losses, thus reaching the quarterfinals to face France.

It’s worth noting that in their last encounter, Croatia won 1-0 at the Stade de France.
